Best Eats In Glasgow: Chaophraya

There's nothing I love more than date night or a mate date and what usually comes with that? food! I'm making it a challenge for the rest of the year to start trying new places (that aren't burger places) in Glasgow for different dishes. One place I know that I love is Chaophraya for Thai food. I have been here a few times for special occasions but my boyfriend and I love it so much that we are going to start making an effort to come more often for date nights.

It's located at The Townhouse at Nelson Mandela Place. Firstly lets talk about the interior because it is stunning!

Its got a really cosy feel to it when you walk in and there is so much to look at it. We took my boyfriends mum out for her birthday and she loved everything about how it looked and wanted to wonder and see every part that it has to offer, she was not disappointed!

The dining hall (also titled Ballroom) is beautiful. The large windows of the building allow a lot more light to come in and brighten the whole room up. We have dined here in the evening as well and it does have that romantic vibe you might look for in a date night!

Lets get onto the food! I have tried a few starters here before but they just weren't to my tastes but I finally found my favourite in the Chicken Satay. Covered in Peanut sauce, it is HEAVEN. All three of us ordered it because it's just that good!

Usually I do try to change up what I order in places but sometimes when you find what you like it's okay to just stick to it! You like what you like!

Next up was our main, this time round we only wanted two courses but they do provide desserts of course and a range of cocktails if you prefer that after dinner. (I do like a cocktail as my dessert not even gonna lie) My favourite to get is the Cashew nut Chicken and with a side of egg fried rice. I am in love with this dish, I am determined to try and make it at home myself too!

My boyfrriend went for the Chicken Pad Thai which is his personal favourite as he is not much of a spices person and his mum went for the Thai Green Curry.

I think that it is great value for money and each time I have went the service has been excellent. Everybody is very welcoming!

If you are looking for somewhere to eat here in Glasgow whether you're travelling or just want something different from the normal, I definitely recommend to you.

I'll be posting more of my favourite places in the next coming weeks!

Rebecca
